It's been snowing at Chez Lemon and Essex has a light covering, like the rest of the East Coast. I wonder what the traffic is like...

Monday - A Day Off

Due to the snow, Bromley College, like a lot of schools and colleges around the U.K., has closed rather than risk broken ankles and the legal/insurance problems that go with it. This means I have another day at home, although there will be a trip to the local superstore to get provisions at some point.

We've also got another C Test on Thursday, so I've got to revise for that.

Sunday - Snow Job

The forecast snow finally arrived today and has coated BasVegas and the rest of Essex.

And it's still snowing (with a forecast of more) so it looks like I'm going to have to dig out the Fatmobile tomorrow!

Sunday - Northward Bound

Snow Delays

A few delays on the roads today as Britain, and specifically BasVegas, gets hit by the white stuff.

I got all lagged up and skidded and bouced off down the road in the Fatmobile as the temperature seemed to be that weird one where it either melts or freezes depending on circumstances rather than centigrade. Naturally, I thought of this:

One of the chaps in college, who hails from Austria, was scornfully amused by our inability to cope. His sister told him it was -5°C and the snow was about ½m deep.

Snow Joke

Yes, folks, like the rest of the UK, Chez Lemon and BasVegas have been hit by a gigantic snow fall:

It started last night and it looks like it's about three or fours inches. Luckily, this hit on a Sunday, giving public transport at least a day to think up excuses for things not working. Looks like it could be fun on Monday morning! Normally I'd rely on Calvin and Hobbes to express my feelings on the subject, but I thought I'd give Zippy a try this time:
